Informal Networking Event
Be part of global celebrations this International Women’s Day 2024 and join us for an informal networking event open to all.
The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2024 (IWD 2024) is #InspireInclusion.
Stevenage Borough Council are delighted to be partnering with the Women in Business Network (WIBN) to support an informal business networking event at the Hotel Cromwell Stevenage on Friday 8th March at 10am. We will also be joined by our guest speaker CEO Danielle Bridge from the Charity, Black Minds Matter UK and founder of ABC Life Support, an organisation delivering physical and mental health first aid training across the UK.
Danielle will be using her experience of public speaking, podcast hosting and facilitation of conversations that matter to draw on this year’s theme of #inspiringinclusion. Attendees will hear how Danielle’s lived experience forged her understanding of inclusion and supported her career to date, with inclusivity a running theme throughout. The event will enable attendees:
- learn how to take ownership of the understanding of inclusion
- understand what is the frame of reference and why is it the key to world peace
- how to advocate for every woman every time
The event aims to celebrate women’s achievements and inspire all attendees to thrive and make a difference to support a more inclusive world for all.
There will be lots of opportunities to informally network with your peers and make great connections with a great array of local businesses.

About our guest speaker:
Danielle Bridge is the award-winning Founder and honorary board member of ABC Life Support CIC (Community Interest Company), a Social Enterprise First Aid Training organisation that delivers physical and mental health first aid training across the UK. ABC Life Support has supported over 130 charities in 2021/2022 including Barnardo’s who run family centres in the Stevenage area.
She is the host of ‘It Is What It Is’ the Podcast, as well as a speaker on the importance of psychoeducation in the community as well as empowering others to overcome stigma which in turn normalises the mental health conversation.
More recently Danielle has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Black Minds Matter UK, which is a charity connecting Black individuals and families with free mental health services with professional Black therapists to support their mental health.
Her commitment to social justice, coupled with her proven track record, positions her as a beacon of leadership in the non-profit sector and her journey is a testament to the transformative power of individuals dedicated to creating positive change.
