Stevenage based leading electronics manufacturer Nemco, recently joined the Manufacturing Assembly Network (MAN), a unique collective of sub-contract manufacturers and an engineering design agency to support them reach their ambitious growth target of achieving £30m turnover by 2026.
Nemco supports world class products to a wide range of sectors including; military, communications and aerospace, automotive and transportation, industrial and instrumentation, medical and laboratory and renewable energy. It provides a complete product manufacturing, logistics and repair turnkey service to its global customer base from its 60,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wedgwood Way.
MAN, which employs more than 1750 people across 13 different factories will provide Nemco with a number of additional engineering disciplines to complement Nemco’s core capabilities and new solutions, alongside a network of ambitious businesses aiming to grow through sharing of best practice.
Dave Duric, Sales & Marketing Director of Nemco stated, “It has been a tough time in the manufacturing sector due to the global pandemic and its after-effects. We effectively lost a year somewhere and although there was a slight dip in the order book during the initial pandemic, we remained strong and diversified to weather the storm.
“Thankfully we recovered because we acted quickly. We planned ahead and we kept on investing in new machinery and strengthening our purchasing department to offset the rising costs of raw materials. This combined approach has seen us emerge in a position of strength.”
