Sycamore House completed to bring forward 6,500m of labs and offices
Cambridge based, Owers Warwick Architects have recently completed the conversion of a former 1980s metal shed to bring forward superb office and laboratory accommodation to support start-up, scale up and mature companies for Stevenage’s burgeoning life sciences sector. Commissioned by Kadans Science Partners, Netherlands based scientific workspace provider, the space created is a great exemplar of what can be achieved in the constraints of an existing tired industrial building.
Previously warehouse and storage accommodation for GSK, the new lab and office space have been created within the shell of the existing building. The vibrant, communal areas for staff from different companies to connect and collaborate, support Kadans’ Dutch model of modern laboratory and office requirements.
